Friends and Family Share Their Memories

Matt Katz was best known as a loving family man and a good friend to all. He made such an impact on everyone he met. He had a way about him that when he spoke to you, you felt important. Whenever a friend or family member needed help or advice, Matt was always willing to drop what he was doing and lend a hand or lend an ear. Matt was also one of those people who would brighten up the room every time he entered it spreading laughter and smiles. Born with the “gift of gab”, he was a natural salesman and also a jokester. Matt had a passion for music and playing the guitar, which he taught himself to play. He was able to fulfill his dream of becoming a guitar player in his own band he formed a few years ago. Other favorite hobbies of his included: travelling, playing golf, trailer camping, hanging out with friends, watching his favorite tv shows, playing with his two dogs known as the “Boston Terrier brothers”, watching his high school son play football, engaging in deep talks with his teen daughter, and most of all, he just loved spending time with his family. One of the mottos he lived by was “I never wish I would have.” He definitely followed this by always striving to pursue his own dreams. Matt will be deeply missed by all those who knew him, especially his family, who will always carry his bright spirit in their hearts.
